[Financial News] AUTECH Carrier, an affiliate of AUTECH Group, is accelerating its energy integration solutions business as it expands the supply of cooling equipment for AI data centers. The strategy is to broaden its business beyond its traditional focus on manufacturing HVAC equipment into AI-based energy management and digital operations services.
AUTECH Carrier said on the 21st that it will showcase integrated energy solutions spanning data center cooling, smart buildings, heat pumps and the cold chain at the 2026 Korea International HVAC&R Exhibition (HARFKO), which runs from that day through the 23rd at KINTEX in Ilsan, Gyeonggi Province.
Industry attention is focused on the data center cooling business. Following a recent project for a 48-MW-class hyperscale data center in the Seoul metropolitan area, AUTECH Carrier was named the preferred bidder on the 8th to supply cooling equipment for a 200-MW-class data center at the Gumi AI cluster. The company is pursuing a plan to supply 160 air-cooled chillers for the Gumi project.
As AI data centers become denser, power efficiency and operational stability in cooling equipment are becoming increasingly important, and efforts to gain an early foothold in the market are accelerating. AUTECH Carrier plans to integrate cooling equipment with data center infrastructure management (DCIM) and digital maintenance services, built around Carrier's global data center solution, “QuantumLeap.”
In particular, the company will unveil not only coolant distribution units (CDUs) for liquid cooling and high-efficiency chillers, but also “AdvanTEC,” an AI-based building energy control system. The focus is on optimizing HVAC system operations and lowering energy costs through real-time load forecasting. The company is also addressing the electrification of heating. It plans to expand its range of heat pumps for residential, commercial and agricultural use, including heat-pump boilers designated for supply under government policy, and to improve operational efficiency in the cold-chain sector using a digital monitoring platform.
Meanwhile, industry players are watching the possibility that the data center cooling market will expand beyond simple equipment supply to include maintenance and energy optimization services. This is because extending the business into the operational phase after equipment delivery can generate recurring service revenue.
AUTECH Carrier CEO Kang Shin-wook stressed, “What customers need is not a single piece of equipment, but a solution that reduces energy costs and operational risks,” adding, “We will establish ourselves as an energy solutions company that connects cooling and heating, controls, and operational services.”
