[Financial News] An event was held for elementary school girls to build teamwork and confidence by trying team sports such as soccer and basketball.
Green Umbrella said on the 21st that it had held the 2026 Active Modoo Girls Festival with Nike Korea on the 17th at Eunro Elementary School in Dongjak-gu, Seoul. Around 300 girls from girls’ sports clubs at 14 elementary schools in the Seoul area took part.
The event was organized as part of Active Modoo, a physical activity support program for children. Organized by Green Umbrella, sponsored by Nike Korea and carried out in cooperation with WeMeetUp Sports, the program has provided children with opportunities to take part in a range of sports since 2022.
The World Health Organization (WHO) says physical activity supports bone health, muscle growth, and motor and cognitive development in children and adolescents. It recommends that children and adolescents aged 5 to 17 get an average of at least 60 minutes of moderate- to vigorous-intensity physical activity per day over the course of a week.
A Nike Korea representative explained, “This festival was organized to give girls the opportunity to experience team sports such as soccer and basketball and learn the joy of achieving goals together and the value of taking on challenges.”
A Green Umbrella representative said, “We will continue to create more opportunities so that all children can grow up healthy through a variety of physical activities.”
