[Financial News] Seoul’s Eunpyeong District announced on the 21st that it will hold the ‘2026 Forest Family Festival for Young Children’ on the 24th at the Seooreung Forest Experience Center for Young Children, where children and families can take part together. With the theme ‘Let’s gather in a FUN forest!’, the event will feature a variety of hands-on programs that let children observe plants and animals in the forest and enjoy activities using natural materials.
Featured programs include ‘Acorns Are My Friends’ and ‘Let’s Play, Spider!’, which invite participants to explore nature in the forest through things like acorns and spiders. There will also be activities to make key rings from recycled coffee grounds and for families to tend a small garden together.
A train ride for children and families to enjoy together is also planned, along with magic and bubble shows.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to noon, and there is no participation fee. Participants can register on the Seoul Metropolitan Government’s Public Service Reservation website (yeyak.seoul.go.kr). A total of 300 participants from families with young children will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Eunpyeong District Mayor Kim Mi-kyung said, “I hope this will be a time for children to run and play freely in the forest, learn the value of nature, and make happy memories together as a family,” adding, “We will continue to expand opportunities for children to experience the forest so they can get close to nature and grow up healthy.”
