Netflix launches K-pop girl group audition show 'We Go High'; SM Culture & Contents (SM C&C) to begin recruiting on the 21st

[Financial News] SM C&C is teaming up with Netflix to support the development and global activities of a new group set to emerge from a K-pop audition program.
SM C&C said on the 21st that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Netflix for strategic cooperation. The two companies plan to develop together the debut group from Netflix's K-pop girl group audition show 'We Go High' and support its overseas activities.
'We Go High' is a girl group audition program for students at arts high schools in South Korea. It follows arts high school students with strong fundamentals and individuality as they compete and grow while aiming for a broader stage. Applications open on the 21st.
SM C&C CEO Park Tae-hyun said, "It's meaningful to be introducing the next generation of global artists together with Netflix. Drawing on SM C&C's comprehensive entertainment capabilities, we will support the group that emerges from the audition so it can perform on the global stage."
