[Financial News] Samsung Securities’ self-produced artificial intelligence (AI) girl group Lumina has been met with a positive response since its unveiling.
Samsung Securities said on the 21st that the music video for ‘OVERRIDE,’ the debut song by its four-member AI girl group Lumina, surpassed 2.5 million views on YouTube about a month after its release.
The name Lumina was inspired by the English word ‘Luminous,’ meaning ‘shining.’ The group’s concept centers on four members with distinct personalities coming together to create a single, powerful spectrum.
The debut song ‘Override’ combines electronica and dance music with techno rhythms. It conveys a message of moving beyond existing frameworks and preconceptions, setting one’s own standards and opening up future possibilities.
Through this project, Samsung Securities aimed to deliver messages about finance and investing—which can feel difficult and rigid—through K-pop content. In particular, it incorporated into Lumina’s music and image the idea of investing in future possibilities through proactive choices in the present.
Samsung Securities plans to move away from the conventional approach of hiring celebrities as advertising models and develop its own AI idol as a digital communications asset. It intends to expand its engagement with customers by releasing follow-up music videos and short-form challenges and using the group as a host for various types of content.
A Samsung Securities representative said, “This is a new initiative in which Samsung Securities handles real-world financial expertise, while Lumina conveys the diverse possibilities and inspiration contained within it,” adding, “Going forward, we will use Lumina as a medium to communicate with key customers of the future in a friendlier and more dynamic way.”
