[Financial News] President Lee Jae Myung said on the 21st, “In healthcare, a field directly linked to human life, artificial intelligence technology must be used safely and responsibly, and should be harnessed to address healthcare disparities around the world.”
In a written congratulatory message for the “2026 World Bio Summit,” read aloud that day by Minister of Health and Welfare Jeong Eun-kyeong, President Lee said, “Reducing disparities between countries and ensuring that everyone can receive appropriate healthcare is a defining mission of our time that all of us gathered here today must work together to fulfill.”
Regarding the “AI Healthcare Seoul Declaration,” which is to be announced today, he explained that it was drawn up so the international community could join forces to carry out these practical tasks together.
He went on to say, “I hope this declaration will help the values of ‘AI-enabled basic healthcare,’ which South Korea strives for, spread around the world, and that countries will work together to strengthen health security and protect human life and dignity.”
He added, “I once again welcome all of you attending the ‘2026 World Bio Summit’ and hope you will create meaningful achievements and precious memories.”
