[Financial News] As the educational environment rapidly changes with the digital shift and a generational change among parents, early childhood education settings are also preparing for sweeping changes.
Global edtech company VISANG Education said on the 21st that it is holding its “2027 Early Childhood Program Information Session” for directors and teachers from early childhood education institutions nationwide. The sessions are underway in major cities across the country, starting in Daejeon and continuing through Seoul, Gyeonggi, Busan, Daegu and Gwangju.
The event was planned in recognition of the recent shift to parents born in the ’90s as the generation entrusting their children to early childhood education institutions. It aims to help those institutions respond flexibly to the needs of a new generation of parents who are comfortable with digital devices and want transparent access to their children’s educational process and progress.
At the information session, VISANG Education presented tailored programs to address concerns in the field, including digital education, literacy development and adjustment to elementary school.
First, the digital learning program “OnlyOne Kids for School” offers digital content that children can enjoy learning from as if they were playing. It provides teachers with tools to help prepare lessons and has enhanced communication features so parents can directly follow their children’s activities and growth.
The programs also included offerings to develop children’s foundational academic skills and social skills. “Sehim,” an early childhood reading education program, builds children’s thinking and expressive skills through reading and follow-up activities tailored to their developmental stage. It is designed to help children continue reading at home, enabling kindergartens and families to work together in raising them.
The “EBS Nurisaem’s Yucho Yeongye I-eum” program was also introduced for children about to start elementary school. Drawing on VISANG Education’s expertise in producing textbooks for first and second grade, it is designed to connect kindergarten classes naturally with elementary school life and foundational learning.
A range of educational products spanning all early childhood age groups was also presented, including “Haim Schule,” a teaching-aid program for infants, and “Kkomo Arte,” an art program that develops creativity.
VISANG Education plans to continue its information sessions across the country through the end of this year and actively gather feedback from teachers and directors in the field.
Kim Yumi, head of VISANG Education’s Early Childhood E&D Center, said, “The emergence of parents born in the ’90s is changing expectations of early childhood education institutions,” adding, “Based on feedback from people in the field across the country, we will continue to introduce programs that benefit children, teachers and parents alike.”
