[Financial News] Daekyo said on the 21st that it had launched small-group classes through Daekyo Language Square, a specialized foreign-language learning center, to help students prepare for major foreign-language certification exams. The courses are designed to help learners preparing for employment, a job change or further study efficiently achieve their target scores.
The classes will be offered when at least three people apply. A key feature is that they are designed to address each learner’s areas of weakness and help them raise their target scores in a short period of time.
The seven major foreign-language exams offered are HSK, JLPT, Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC), TOEIC Speaking, OPIc, IELTS and DELE. The curriculum is divided into three levels—beginner, intermediate and advanced—according to the learner’s proficiency. Students can choose between 60- and 90-minute sessions.
Classes are taught by native speakers or professional teachers who majored in the relevant language. They focus on areas where students need improvement—vocabulary, reading, listening or speaking—and teach strategies for solving questions and structuring answers for each exam format. Individual feedback and question-and-answer sessions help students reduce common mistakes.
A Daekyo representative said, "Foreign-language certifications can be an important competitive advantage as people prepare for a range of opportunities, including employment and further study," and added, "We will provide highly effective educational services to help learners feel less burdened by exam preparation and get one step closer to their goals."
