‘A sofa that doubles as a bed and offers storage, too’—Casamia expands its online sofa-bed lineup

[Financial News] Casamia, Shinsegae Casa’s premium living and lifestyle brand, is introducing Nuvola and Souffle, online-exclusive sofa beds designed to combine the look of a sofa with the comfort of a bed.
According to the furniture industry on the 21st, sofa beds are highly versatile because a single piece of furniture can serve for both relaxation and sleep.
Casamia’s new products combine the space efficiency inherent to sofa beds with design quality on par with regular sofas and a comfortable feel.
Nuvola combines a three-seat sofa with a bed and storage functions. It features softly curved armrests and fabric woven in a dimensional pattern from white and beige yarns. Even when unfolded into a bed, its internal structure remains hidden, preserving its clean design.
In particular, it has a hidden storage compartment beneath the seat for bedding when used as a sofa and back cushions when unfolded into a bed.
Its front-extension design allows it to unfold while remaining against the wall, so there is no need to move the furniture.
Souffle is a two-seat sofa bed that pairs a modern classic design with sleeping comfort. Its name evokes the dessert soufflé, with its soft, fluffy layers, and the sofa bed is designed to offer a soft, cozy seating feel.
At 131 cm wide, it is well suited to a variety of spaces, including living rooms, bedrooms, studies and multipurpose rooms.
Pulling the handle at the front of the seat easily converts it into a bed. The backrest also reclines by 3 degrees, naturally supporting the lower back when seated. The two included cushions can be used in various ways—as armrest cushions, back cushions or pillows.
