[Financial News] The Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education will become the first metropolitan or provincial office of education in the country to outsource the hiring of administrative staff for private schools. The initiative is aimed at easing the hiring workload and improving fairness and transparency in staff recruitment by offering outsourced hiring to school foundations that wish to participate.
On the 21st, the Office of Education announced on its website its “2027 Open Competitive Recruitment Plan for Administrative Staff at Private Schools,” which contains these details. The plan calls for hiring 11 people to work at nine schools affiliated with six school foundations.
The hiring process consists of a first-round document screening, an aptitude and personality test, and a second-round interview conducted by the Office of Education, followed by a third-round interview by the relevant school foundation, after which the final successful candidates will be selected. The aim is to improve fairness and transparency through a process overseen by the Office of Education while also guaranteeing the school foundations’ appointment authority.
Applications will be accepted from November 5 to 11. Applications may be submitted only by mail or in person, and the final successful candidates are scheduled to be announced on December 9.
Superintendent Kim Seok-jun said, “This is the first time in the country that a metropolitan or provincial office of education has implemented a system of outsourcing the recruitment of administrative staff for private schools. I hope this recruitment will serve as a foundation for the sound development and advancement of private educational institutions.”
