‘Outlet-Style Black Friday’ Is Coming: Shinsegae Simon to Hold ‘Super Saturday’ for Four Days

[Financial News] Shinsegae Simon is launching a major discount event across all its premium outlet locations, targeting demand for fall and winter shopping.
According to industry sources on the 21st, Shinsegae Simon will hold ‘Super Saturday (SUPER SATURDAY),’ its largest shopping event of the year, over four days from the 23rd to the 26th at its premium outlets in Yeoju, Paju, Busan, Siheung and Jeju.
Super Saturday is a major discount event Shinsegae Simon holds every October and is known as ‘Black Friday for outlets.’ This year, a wide range of brands—from luxury to sports, outdoor, kids and home goods—will participate, offering additional discounts of up to 30% off outlet prices.
Among sports brands, Nike is offering an additional 20% off outlet prices on all items, raising the discount to 30% for purchases of two or more items. New Balance and Skechers are offering additional discounts of 20%, while Vuori is offering 10%.
Outerwear in high demand during winter, including padded jackets, coats and goose-down items, will also be on sale. Columbia Sportswear is offering an additional 20% discount, while Nepa and National Geographic are offering an additional 10%. Discovery and Snow Peak will offer select items at special prices.
Luxury and contemporary brands are also taking part in the discount event. Max Mara, Brunello Cucinelli, Barbour and A.P.C., among others, are offering an additional 20% off outlet prices, while Nobis, Paul Smith, Vivienne Westwood, Andersson Bell and Recto, among others, are offering 10% discounts.
Special discounts and pop-up stores will also be available at individual locations. Yeoju Premium Outlets will host a Pottery archive sale, with popular items discounted by up to 50%, as well as a Manseok Dak-gangjeong pop-up store. At the Paju, Busan and Siheung premium outlets, Skechers will hold a family sale offering up to 70% off clothing and shoes.
Experiential activities for families will also be available. Bubble shows and balloon shows will take place at each location on the afternoons of the weekend of the 24th and 25th, and the Busan Premium Outlet will host a ‘Pinkfong Baby Shark Happy Picnic’ pop-up.
