[Financial News] Coupang Fulfillment Services (CFS) is launching its first open recruitment drive for junior college graduates as it seeks to attract young talent.
CFS said on the 21st that it is accepting additional applications from today through the 8th of next month for “Logistics Leader START Cohort 1,” an open recruitment program for junior college graduates. This is the first time CFS has introduced an open recruitment program for junior college graduates.
The program is designed to hire junior college graduates as full-time “team captains” and develop them into logistics experts with practical field skills and organizational management capabilities. The first round of applications ran from September 22 through the 11th of this month, and the company is accepting additional applications to expand its hiring of young talent.
Team captains manage logistics processes at fulfillment centers (FCs) nationwide, from receiving and storing goods to shipping them out. They also handle key duties such as on-site safety management and workforce operations. The company says they can go on to become operations managers overseeing larger organizations and processes, depending on their performance and capabilities.
Eligible applicants include associate degree holders who are entry-level or have up to three years of experience, as well as students expected to graduate in February 2027. Preference will be given to candidates who majored in logistics or distribution, hold relevant certifications, have experience managing on-site personnel and safety, or demonstrate strong office automation (OA) skills. Applicants can choose their preferred work region and center from among major fulfillment centers nationwide.
Successful candidates will receive a separate onboarding program after joining. The program will help them better understand the team captain’s role and fulfillment center operations as a whole, and support their quick adjustment to the job. CFS plans to continue expanding its recruitment of junior college graduates.
“On-site leaders who combine practical skills with leadership are essential to strengthening the competitiveness of logistics operations,” said Park Su-hyeon, CFS chief human resources officer (CHRO). “Through this open recruitment drive for junior college graduates, we will support more young talent in starting their careers as full-time team captains and growing into logistics professionals.”
