[Financial News] Starbucks Coffee Korea Co., Ltd. is gearing up to get ahead of the Christmas season by expanding its lineup of beverages, food and merchandise inspired by the winter season.
According to industry sources on the 21st, Starbucks will launch three drinks on the 22nd for this year’s Christmas season: the Toffee Nut Latte, a customer favorite every winter; the Winter Scotch Vanilla Latte, which combines rich coffee with buttery butterscotch notes; and the non-alcoholic Classic Vin Chaud Hibiscus Tea, made with a red wine-flavored base that captures the taste of classic vin chaud.
The Toffee Nut Latte is Starbucks’ signature seasonal drink, beloved every winter since its launch in South Korea in 2002. It is a perennial favorite, with cumulative sales exceeding 40 million cups.
Starbucks is also launching the new Apricot Joyful Medley Tea Latte, a winter-style reimagining of the Apricot Joyful Medley Shaken Tea, which was warmly received this summer, particularly by female customers in their 20s and 30s.
Starbucks is also offering the Black Glazed Latte, Matcha Glazed Tea Latte and Hojicha Glazed Tea Latte, popular drinks from the fall season, to give customers more choices.
The dessert lineup has been further expanded to meet demand for year-end gatherings and special occasions.
The offerings include the Nutella Moist Whipped Cream Cake and Nutella Baguette Salt Bread, both made with sweet Nutella spread, as well as a variety of desserts with a Christmas feel, including the Rudolph Cookie Cheesecake, Santa Red Velvet Cheesecake, Tree Matcha Crunch Cake and Snowman Macaron.
The Beef Melt Baguette Sandwich, which was a big hit last winter, is also making a comeback.
A Starbucks representative said, “We hope you’ll make warm and happy year-end memories with the variety of beverages and food we’ve prepared for this winter.”
