[Financial News] Samsung Electronics will showcase key works by galleries participating in “Art Basel Paris 2026” on Samsung Art Store.
Samsung Electronics said on the 20th that it had participated as the official display partner for Art Basel Paris 2026, held at the Grand Palais in Paris, France, from the 20th to the 25th, and had unveiled 19 works on Samsung Art Store.
Samsung Electronics has partnered with Art Basel, held in Hong Kong, Basel, Paris and Miami Beach, to showcase contemporary artworks presented at the fairs.
The collection features works that reinterpret subjects from everyday life through original colors and forms.
“Poppies #4” by Georgian contemporary artist Ellen Shatberashvili depicts everyday still-life subjects with rich colors and a warm perspective. “The Lounge (Black and White)” by Belgian sculptor and installation artist Hans Op de Beeck portrays an interior filled with various objects in grayscale, capturing a contemplative mood.
Samsung Art TV renders the colors, textures, and contrasts of light and shadow in artworks in 4K quality. It also uses anti-reflection technology, with a special coating on the screen that disperses light in multiple directions to reduce reflections from sunlight and indoor lighting.
With the release of this collection, viewers can enjoy key works in their daily lives whether or not they visit the exhibition venue.
Daria Green, head of content curation at Samsung Art Store, said, “The appeal of this collection lies in how it reinterprets familiar subjects in different ways through original colors and sculptural language,” adding, “By bringing together and presenting different artistic perspectives on a single platform, Samsung Art Store, we hope viewers around the world can enjoy diverse and profound worlds of art at home.”
Karim Crippa, director of Art Basel Paris, said, “The ‘discovery’ of new art is a core value of Art Basel, and participating galleries serve as a bridge connecting outstanding artists and artworks with viewers around the world. It is very meaningful that, through our collaboration with Samsung Art Store, we can continue to engage with audiences worldwide without the constraints of time and space even after the art fair ends.”
Samsung Art Store is an art subscription service exclusively for Samsung TVs, available in at least 117 countries worldwide. It offers around 5,000 works by leading museums and artists around the world in 4K quality. The service is available across the full Samsung Art TV lineup, including The Frame Pro, The Frame, Micro RGB, and OLED (SH95).
