[Financial News] Shinhan Bank is expanding financial support to help domestic aerospace companies grow and strengthen their competitiveness.
The financial sector said on the 20th that Shinhan Bank had signed an agreement that day with the Korea Aerospace Industry Association at its headquarters in Jung District, Seoul. The agreement aims to support the growth and strengthen the competitiveness of Korea’s aerospace industry and the association’s member companies. The signing ceremony was attended by officials from both organizations, including Lee Jong-gu, head of Shinhan Bank’s Sales Promotion Group 1, and Yoon Byeong-ho, vice chairman of the Korea Aerospace Industry Association.
The two organizations plan to share developments in the aerospace industry and information about member companies, and to establish a framework for working together to provide tailored support to each company.
Shinhan Bank will provide a range of financial services, including lending, foreign exchange, investment finance, technology finance and policy finance, taking into account the business characteristics and growth stage of each member company. It also plans to offer nonfinancial consulting on matters essential to business management, such as tax, accounting and ESG.
The bank will use the on-the-ground network of “Shinhan SOL Cluster Busan” for company consultations and to connect businesses with support. It plans to link companies’ needs identified through the association to practical financial support, and to expand opportunities for member companies to engage with bank specialists by holding seminars, briefings and consultation sessions.
The Korea Aerospace Industry Association will identify member companies’ financial and nonfinancial needs and introduce them to Shinhan Bank’s support programs.
A Shinhan Bank official said, “This agreement is an opportunity to broaden our engagement with aerospace companies and define the role of finance more concretely based on our understanding of the industry. We will work closely with the association to ensure that companies with technological capabilities and growth potential receive the funding they need, and continue providing productive finance to support the growth of the aerospace industry.”
