[Financial News] DB Asset Management has entered the market for overseas-investment ETFs with the launch of an exchange-traded fund (ETF) that invests in U.S. companies involved in physical artificial intelligence (AI).
DB Asset Management said on the 20th that the DB Mighty U.S. Physical AI Active ETF was listed on the Korea Exchange that day. The company’s first ETF investing overseas, it expands the Mighty product lineup, previously focused on the domestic market, into overseas growth industries.
Physical AI is technology that enables artificial intelligence to understand and assess its surroundings and then translate that into real-world movement. Global technology companies’ interest in the field has grown with CES 2026 this year. According to market research firm Counterpoint Research, global humanoid robot shipments totaled 22,000 units in the first half of this year, up approximately 300% from the same period a year earlier. Annual shipments are expected to exceed 50,000 units.
The ETF invests across the physical AI industry, including not only finished robots but also AI semiconductors, software, sensors, motion-control technology, and power and data center infrastructure. In particular, it focuses more on AI inference technology, which analyzes information perceived by robots and determines their actions, than on hardware that controls their movements.
The benchmark is the iSelect U.S. Physical AI Index (KRW-converted). Stocks are selected based on factors including each company’s business relevance, liquidity and share-price trends, and the fund seeks returns above the benchmark. Major expected holdings include Nvidia, ARM, TSMC, Tesla and Intuitive Surgical.
A DB Asset Management official said, “By focusing on AI inference technology responsible for robots’ perception and decision-making, we will differentiate this ETF from existing products, and we will continue to expand the Mighty ETF lineup with investments in global growth industries.”
