[Financial News] Samkee Energy Solutions has won a $74.4 million project (about 99.5 billion won) to supply hybrid parts to a global automaker through its U.S. subsidiary, Samkee America.
According to the company on the 20th, the items to be supplied are two types of timing chain covers (TCCs) used in hybrid turbo engines. Annual supply volume is approximately 380,000 units, and deliveries will continue through December 2030.
Samkee America is bringing in most of its major production equipment and setting up a local production line. It plans to complete the line by the end of this year and begin mass production next March.
Last August, Samkee America secured a contract worth about 300 billion won to supply low crank cases (LCCs) for hybrid vehicles. With this order, TCCs will be added to the products supplied from its North American production base.
Samkee Energy Solutions also supplies battery management system (BMS) connectors for energy storage systems (ESS) through LG Energy Solution’s U.S. plant. The company has completed U.S. patent registration for its self-developed flat flexible printed circuit board (FF-PCB), which is used in the product.
The company said it is also proceeding with an additional quotation process for FF-PCBs to be used in ESS for AI data centers.
