[Financial News] NH NongHyup Bank is setting out to build an artificial intelligence (AI) agent that supports customers across their financial lives, from wealth management and jeonse loans to the prevention of financial fraud.
According to NongHyup Bank on the 20th, it held a kickoff meeting on the 19th with its AI-focused subsidiary AgileSoDA for the “Building a Customer-Facing AI Agent” project and began developing an AI agent that customers can use themselves in earnest.
The two companies are focusing on a “Wealth Management (WM) AI Agent.” They plan to use customer asset information linked through MyData to provide tailored market briefings reflecting market trends and customers’ holdings. The agent will support the full range of wealth management, from portfolio assessment and design based on a comprehensive analysis of assets and liabilities to tax-saving strategies using individual retirement pensions (IRPs) and pension savings.
The companies will also introduce AI agents to help with everyday financial transactions. They plan to develop a “Jeonse Loan Agent” that supports customers’ financial needs from preparing for a jeonse contract through the period after moving in, and a “Consumer Protection Agent” that provides information on preventing financial fraud and protecting consumers, among others, to make financial services more convenient and accessible.
In December, NongHyup Bank will first offer digital wealth management, jeonse loans and consumer protection services through NH Allone Bank. Starting in February next year, it plans to expand the services to include in-person wealth management at its branches.
A NongHyup Bank official said, “This project is the first step toward bringing the vision of an ‘NH Agentic AI Bank’ to life alongside our customers,” adding, “We will usher in an era when anyone can enjoy professional wealth management services through an AI financial assistant in the palm of their hand.”
