[Financial News] DRB Dongil announced on the 20th that it had successfully held the “2nd Multicultural Festival, Mosaic Festa 2nd: Exchange” on the 17th at Campus D Busan, DRB’s social contribution platform, together with the Geumjeong-gu Comprehensive Social Welfare Center.
The festival was planned to give local residents and foreign nationals the opportunity to experience cultures from various countries and communicate with and understand one another. It was the second joint event planned with organizations based at Campus D Busan, following last year’s event.
Mosaic Festa is a multicultural festival that embodies the idea of different cultures coming together to create harmony. It was launched based on last year’s “Geumjeong-gu Community Needs Survey.”
Whereas last year’s festival provided an opportunity for residents and foreign nationals to get to know one another, this year’s festival broadened mutual communication and understanding through cultural experiences and participatory programs. Plans call for next year’s third festival to develop into a sustainable multicultural festival where people respect one another’s cultures and come together.
A variety of programs were offered, including multicultural food booths, traditional games from around the world, cultural experience booths, a photo zone, and a multicultural photo-taking contest.
A DRB Dongil representative said, “DRB and the Geumjeong-gu Comprehensive Social Welfare Center will continue to work with various local institutions and organizations, including those based at Campus D Busan, to promote understanding and inclusion of multiculturalism. We plan to expand opportunities for residents and foreign nationals to interact naturally.” The representative added, “With Campus D Busan at its center, we will connect local cultural resources and build a community where diverse cultures are passed down and grow together.”
