[Financial News] Busan Bank will donate 200 million won to support the development of local festivals in Busan.
Busan City said it will hold a ceremony to present a contribution for the development of local festivals in Busan at the city hall’s reception room on the afternoon of the 20th, together with Busan Bank and the Busan Culture and Tourism Festival Organizing Committee.
Attending the ceremony will be Mayor Jeon Jae-soo, Busan Bank CEO Kim Sung-joo, the festival organizing committee’s executive committee chair, and others.
Busan Bank will provide 200 million won to ensure the successful staging of Busan’s leading festivals, including the Busan Fireworks Festival, organized by the festival organizing committee, and to strengthen their competitiveness.
Busan Bank has continued to support the development of local festivals since 2006, providing a total of 6.065 billion won through annual and individual sponsorships through last year.
This year, too, Busan Bank is continuing its support for the development of Busan’s leading festivals and the promotion of local culture and tourism, including by participating as an annual sponsor of the Busan Fireworks Festival.
As a leading homegrown financial institution representing the region, Busan Bank is fostering shared prosperity with the local community in a range of fields—not only by sponsoring festivals but also by supporting vulnerable groups and providing scholarships and financial education, as well as supporting culture, the arts, and sports.
Mayor Jeon Jae-soo said, “I am grateful to Busan Bank, a financial institution representing the region, for consistently contributing to the development of Busan’s festivals and culture,” adding, “I will continue to work closely with the local community to help Busan’s festivals grow into leading tourism content that brings vitality to the region.”
