【Financial News | Chuncheon = Reporter Kim Ki-seop】Familiar Hollywood film music, including Hans Zimmer’s The Dark Knight and Pirates of the Caribbean, will ring out on a Chuncheon stage this November, brought to life by performances from the Korean National Symphony Orchestra (KNSO) and visual staging.
According to the Gangwon Art & Culture Foundation on the 20th, the foundation will present the winter concert in the Daegwallyeong Music Festival’s Four Seasons of Gangwon series at Baengnyeong Art Center in Chuncheon on November 26 at 7:30 p.m. The final performance in this year’s series will be a film music concert themed around Hollywood blockbusters, featuring the KNSO and conductor Hong Seok-won.
The concert will focus on works by Hans Zimmer, a master of contemporary film music. Powerful, sweeping pieces—including the suite from The Dark Knight, “Time” from Inception, “Hero” from Kung Fu Panda, and the suite from Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl—will be brought to life with the orchestra’s rich sound. The theme from The Illusionist, composed by Philip Glass, a master of minimalist music, will also be performed, with its delicate, dreamlike melody expected to leave a lasting impression.
The foundation plans to incorporate visuals alongside the music throughout the concert, creating a multidimensional stage that will allow audiences to vividly recall scenes and emotions from the films.
Tickets go on sale at 2 p.m. today through the Daegwallyeong Music Festival website and NOL. Prices are 30,000 won for R seats and 20,000 won for S seats. Gangwon residents, elementary, middle, high school and university students, people with disabilities, and persons of national merit can receive a 50% discount on up to two tickets per person.
