[Financial News] Yonsei University’s Department of Clothing and Environment announced on the 19th that it is joining forces with Padit Co., Ltd., a company specializing in fashion AI, to pursue AI-powered innovation in apparel technology.
The two parties signed an MOU at Yonsei University’s Samsung Hall on the 1st and agreed to combine Yonsei University’s apparel research capabilities with Padit’s AI platform technology to drive the digital transformation of the apparel industry.
Under the agreement, the two sides will conduct research to systematically organize the design information and work instructions needed for apparel production for use in AI environments. In particular, they plan to lay the groundwork for efficiently managing and using design information not only for ordinary clothing but also for smart garments with complex materials and functions.
They will also conduct field validation research to comprehensively analyze factors such as the work efficiency of AI-based apparel programs and user satisfaction. Based on the findings, they plan to propose directions for technological advancement that fashion experts and practitioners can use directly in the field.
The two parties plan to expand the application of AI technology across the entire apparel industry, from product planning and design to production, distribution and marketing, and to continue training specialized personnel in related fields.
