[Financial News] L&C Bio carried out philanthropic activities to support breast cancer prevention and research.
L&C Bio, a company specializing in regenerative medicine using human tissues, said on the 19th that it had held the ‘2026 Pink Ribbon Love-Sharing Golf Tournament’ with Daerim St. Mary's Hospital on the 15th at Haevichi Country Club in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province.
The event was organized to mark Breast Cancer Prevention Month in October, raise public awareness of breast cancer, and highlight the importance of prevention and early detection.
One hundred people attended the event, including L&C Bio Chairman Lee Hwan-cheol, Daerim St. Mary's Hospital Chairman Kim Seong-won, and Hospital Director Hong Jun-seok. Participants reflected on the significance of breast cancer prevention by wearing pink outfits and pink ribbons.
The 30 million won raised through voluntary donations from Daerim St. Mary's Hospital and the participants was delivered to the Korean Breast Cancer Society. The funds will be used to support breast cancer research and academic activities.
Chairman Lee Hwan-cheol said, “As a company that deals with life and health, helping patients live better lives and sharing with society are important responsibilities,” adding, “I hope this will be an opportunity to contribute to breast cancer research and prevention and bring hope to patients.”
Chairman Kim Seong-won said, “It was an even more meaningful occasion because so many people joined together and took part in sharing for breast cancer research and prevention,” adding, “I hope the research funds will serve as a foundation for preventing and overcoming breast cancer.”
Meanwhile, L&C Bio sponsors professional golfers Park Seong-guk, Kim Min-jun, and Lee Dae-han, who compete on the Korea Professional Golf Association Tour (KPGA Tour). Lee Dae-han claimed the second victory of his career at last week's KPGA AmazingCre tournament.
