[Financial News] G2G Bio has signed an agreement with a Chinese pharmaceutical company to assess the possibility of developing long-acting injectables.
G2G Bio announced on the 19th that it had signed a platform evaluation agreement related to the development of long-acting injectables with China-based pharmaceutical company The United Biotechnology (Hengqin; UBT).
Under the agreement, G2G Bio will apply its drug-delivery platform, InnoLAMP, to a specific candidate compound provided by UBT and assess the possibility of developing it into a long-acting injectable. The two parties also signed a material transfer agreement (MTA) and a platform evaluation agreement for this purpose.
The agreement runs from today until the research is completed. However, if the research is not concluded early, the term will be up to 12 months from the agreement date. The parties may extend it by written agreement.
The contract value was not disclosed. G2G Bio said it was difficult to disclose information including the contract value and the products targeted for development because of confidentiality provisions in the agreement.
This agreement is a step in assessing the possibility of developing external candidate compounds into long-acting injectables using the InnoLAMP platform. The filing did not disclose specific products under development, subsequent development schedules, or commercialization plans.
