[Financial News] More than 27,000 people visited the model home for ‘Acmer Dongtan’ in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, during its first three days of opening. Queues continued despite heavy weekend rain, drawing strong interest, and attention is now focused on whether the enthusiasm will translate into strong subscription results.
According to the housing sales industry on the 19th, a total of around 27,000 people visited the Acmer Dongtan model home from the 16th to the 18th. On opening day, the 16th, a long line had formed outside before the doors opened, and visitors continued to stream in over the weekend.
On the third day after opening, the 18th, heavy rain began in the morning, but a queue still formed outside. According to a sales representative, more people visited that day than the previous day, when the weather was clear. Visitors reportedly came not only from Dongtan but also from Suwon, Yongin, and Seoul’s Gangnam and Songpa districts.
Visitors were especially interested in touring the show units for each housing type. They looked around interior spaces such as the living rooms and kitchens, while inquiries about subscription eligibility, the sales schedule, and contract terms continued at the consultation desks.
Visitors responded most enthusiastically to the quality of the homes. Acmer Dongtan is promoting its ‘Pent Standard,’ which extends designs and finish materials used in high-end homes to standard unit types. All homes will have 2.5-meter ceilings—20 centimeters higher than in standard apartments—and a private storage room for each household.
Finishes also drew attention. Depending on the unit type, features include Italian hardwood flooring by Listone Giordano and kitchen cabinetry by Cucine
Lube, as well as faucets by Hansgrohe, a German brand. Kitchens and bathrooms feature Infinity and Novabell ceramic tiles, along with products by American Standard and Scarabeo. Living-room windows use LX Hausys Roncel and Double Low-E glass from KCC GLASS Corporation, among other products.
A sales representative said, “Early on opening day, a long queue three to four rows deep stretched from the model home to the parking lot, and even more people flocked here over the weekend, creating a crush of visitors. We could see many prospective buyers responding to Dongtan’s best location and the quality of the homes.”
Acmer Dongtan will be built on and around lots 95 and 99 in Bansong-dong, Dongtan District, Hwaseong, with seven buildings ranging from seven basement levels to up to 49 stories above ground and a total of 1,808 homes. ‘Acmer Dongtan 95’ will comprise three buildings and 812 homes with exclusive-use areas of 84–188 square meters, while ‘Acmer Dongtan 99’ will comprise four buildings and 996 homes with exclusive-use areas of 84–162 square meters.
The development is close to Dongtan Central Park (about 370,000 square meters) and Banseoksan Neighborhood Park (about 710,000 square meters), and Samsung Electronics Hwaseong Campus is about a 10-minute walk away. Bansong Station (provisional name) on the Dongtan–Indeogwon Line is scheduled to be built in front of the complex. From Bansong Station, it is expected that passengers will be able to travel to Dongtan Station and transfer to GTX-A and high-speed rail services.
Applications for both complexes will proceed in the following order: special supply on the 26th, first priority on the 27th, and second priority on the 28th. Winners will be announced on November 3 for Complex 95 and November 4 for Complex 99, with contracts to be signed from November 16 to 18. Move-in is scheduled for January 2032.
