[Financial News] Hana Securities is launching a special offer on promissory notes with an annual yield of 5.7%.
Hana Securities said on the 19th that it would offer one-year fixed-term promissory notes as a special promotion to mark the launch of its new mobile trading system (MTS), ‘Hana Securities V.’
The special offer runs through November 20, and each customer can subscribe for up to 5 million won. The total sales limit is 50 billion won, and the offer may end early if the limit is reached.
Eligible customers are those who first opened a Hana Securities account after July 1, or customers whose average balance over the previous six months was less than 1 million won as of the 30th of last month and who have not subscribed to promissory notes in the past six months.
The special offer carries a pre-tax annual yield of 5.7%, 1.2 percentage points higher than the 4.5% annual yield on the 365-day promissory notes in an individual-customer special offer it previously sold. Customers can subscribe only through the new MTS, ‘Hana Securities V.’
Jo Dae-heon, head of Hana Securities’ AI Digital Strategy Division, said, “We prepared this special offer to provide our customers with tangible financial benefits to mark the launch of Hana Securities V,” adding, “We plan to continue introducing competitive financial products and services.”
Promissory notes are short-term financial products with a maturity of one year or less, issued by securities firms on the strength of their own credit. Principal losses may occur depending on the issuer’s credit and liquidity risks, among other factors.
