[Financial News] LIG Defense & Aerospace (LIG D&A) has carried out an organizational restructuring to strengthen compliance management and expand its global business. The key measures are appointing new heads to 4 of its 7 business and management divisions to refresh its leadership and strengthen internal controls. It will also expand the dedicated organization for breaking into overseas markets.
LIG D&A announced on the 19th that it had carried out a companywide organizational restructuring to respond to a rapidly changing business and management environment. The changes focus on establishing compliance and internal control functions, strengthening management expertise, and expanding into global markets. The restructured organization will begin operating on November 2.
First, LIG D&A will appoint new heads to 4 of its 7 business and management divisions, setting out to refresh its leadership. Also notable is the introduction of a ‘leadership structure’ directly under the CEO. The plan is to establish separate business and operations leadership roles to enhance expertise across the company’s business and management functions and further solidify its accountable management system.
A Compliance Audit Office will also be newly established to strengthen internal controls. It will be responsible for continuously checking compliance with relevant laws and internal regulations. Earlier, on the 6th, LIG D&A held a ‘CP (Compliance Program) Enhancement Declaration Ceremony’ to strengthen its compliance management system. The company plans to further solidify its compliance-based responsible management system through this restructuring.
The overseas business organization will also be expanded. In addition to the existing regional head for the Middle East, LIG D&A will establish a regional head for Europe and Latin America to strengthen its approach to each regional market. It plans to pursue strategies tailored to defense demand and business conditions in each region, centered on its local bases, and accelerate its efforts to break into new export markets.
A LIG D&A official said, “This organizational restructuring is a turning point in renewal and innovation for sustainable growth,” adding, “Building on our newly revamped overall management and compliance management systems, we will lead global markets, get new businesses for the future up and running early, and achieve a new leap forward.”
