【Financial News Jeju = Jung Yong-bok】 Branksome Hall Asia, an international school in Jeju English Education City, will hold an admissions test in Seoul this November to select students for January 2027 enrollment. Earlier, it held an on-campus open house attended by around 100 prospective students and parents, introducing its International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum and school life.
According to the Jeju Free International City Development Center (JDC) on the 19th, Branksome Hall Asia, operated by its subsidiary Jains Co., Ltd., held a “Learn the BHA Way!” open house on the 9th at its campus in Daejeong-eup, Seogwipo. Around 40 families considering enrollment attended the event.
The event introduced the school’s IB curriculum by age group, from kindergarten through high school. The IB is an international curriculum that emphasizes students’ inquiry, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. It is divided into the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the Diploma Programme (DP), which prepares students for university.
Branksome Hall Asia is authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization to offer all three programmes. A key focus of the admissions information session was how the curriculum progresses from kindergarten through high school.

The school said the 70 students who took this year’s IB Diploma examinations averaged 36 out of a possible 45 points. That is around five points higher than the global average of 30.88 on the May 2026 examinations, as reported by the International Baccalaureate Organization.
The school also reported a 98.5% rate of students earning the Bilingual Diploma. This qualification is awarded to students who complete language and literature courses in two different languages, or who meet set achievement standards in a language course and a specific subject taught in another language.
Participants toured the school’s facilities with current students and sampled the school meals. In the afternoon, activities included an English picture-book lesson for kindergarten students, a STEM experience integrating science, technology, engineering and math for elementary students, and a dormitory-life experience for middle and high school students. The dormitory program ran from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Following the open house, Branksome Hall Asia will hold admissions information sessions in major cities across the country. The schedule is for mid-year admissions in the second semester of the 2026–27 academic year and recruitment of new students for the 2027–28 academic year.
