[Financial News] Baskin-Robbins is launching reimagined versions of six popular ice cream and cake products, including “Mom Is an Alien,” as it marks 40 years in Korea, and is rolling out a commemorative campaign.
According to industry sources on the 19th, Baskin-Robbins will mark 40 years in Korea by introducing reimagined versions of popular products and holding a campaign.
Since opening its first store in Korea in 1986, Baskin-Robbins has reached its 40th anniversary this year. It will bring back nostalgic flavors and run a range of programs, including customer appreciation promotions and interactive events.
First, it will launch four reimagined ice cream flavors (“Mom Is an Alien,” “I Am Sam,” “Banana Split” and “Pralines and Cream”) and two ice cream cakes (“Incredible What You Want” and “Double Chocolate Blossom”). “Mom Is an Alien,” a flagship flavor that has remained popular since its launch in 2004, will have 20% more of its key ingredient, chocolate balls, to enhance its crunchy texture. “Banana Split” was introduced in 2015 to mark the 70th anniversary of Baskin-Robbins in the United States; it combines banana and strawberry ice cream with a variety of toppings.
A discount promotion is also planned. In partnership with Naver Pay, Baskin-Robbins will hold an event from the 20th to the 23rd, allowing customers to buy Family-size ice cream at a promotional price with benefits of up to 70%.
Starting with the launch of these commemorative products and the partnership promotion, Baskin-Robbins plans to continue holding various campaigns to share memories of its 40th anniversary.
A Baskin-Robbins representative said, “We prepared this campaign to express our gratitude for the love our customers have shown us over the past 40 years,” adding, “We will offer a range of experiences, from the joy of revisiting popular products from the past to special benefits and interactive events.”
