Canon Korea Inc. Unveils A3 Color and Monochrome Multifunction Printers, Completes Lineup for Different Business Needs

[Financial News] Canon Korea Inc. said on the 19th that it had launched 15 new A3 color and black-and-white multifunction printers, completing its ‘imageFORCE’ A3 multifunction printer lineup. The lineup is designed to let companies choose products based on their print volumes and work environments, from routine office tasks to high-volume document processing.
The new products comprise the C3000, C3000L and C3100 series of color multifunction printers, and the 4000 and 4100 series of monochrome multifunction printers. The color models print at maximum speeds of 22–35 pages per minute, while the monochrome models reach 25–45 pages per minute. Canon Korea Inc. said that adding the new products to its existing C7165 and C5100 and 6100 series gives it a full lineup of A3 multifunction printers.
The new products feature Canon’s high-resolution technology, ‘D2 Exposure.’ OLED multichips reduce the distance between the drum and print head, minimizing distortion at exposure points and color shifts. The engine resolution reaches up to 4800×2400 dpi, enabling crisp printing of small text, lines and color images.
All models are equipped with an automatic document feeder (ADF) for handling double-sided originals. Depending on the model, they support double-sided monochrome and color scanning at speeds of up to 70–270 ipm. The C3135 can scan both monochrome and color documents at up to 270 ipm. A high-capacity paper deck is available as an option for the C3100 and 4100 series.
The printers can use paper ranging from 52 g/m2 to 300 g/m2 and support finishing features such as stapling, booklet binding and hole punching. This allows users to handle everything from printing to document finishing on a single machine.
Security and device management features have also been enhanced. The multifunction printers analyze the network and usage environment to recommend appropriate security settings, and provide guidance on how to respond if a security vulnerability is detected. ‘Smart Service’ also enables remote monitoring of device status and parts information and provides maintenance support.
Recycled plastic and recycled steel were used in the product bodies. The packaging was also changed to paper materials, including corrugated cardboard, that are easy to recycle. The C3122, C3126 and C3130 received Grade 1 energy-efficiency ratings, and some of the products obtained the international environmental certification ‘Blue Angel.’
