Shinil Electronics expands CSR efforts using home appliances, continues support for vulnerable groups

[Financial News] Shinil Electronics continues its corporate social responsibility efforts using home appliances. The company donates products it owns to welfare facilities and nonprofit organizations, using the proceeds from their sale to support vulnerable groups. Drawing on its expertise as a seasonal home appliance manufacturer, it focuses its charitable activities on products needed in everyday life.
 According to industry sources on the 19th, Shinil Electronics donated 5 million won worth of home appliances to the “2026 Happy Sharing Bazaar,” held on the 15th at Dongbang Pyeongtaek Welfare Town in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province.
 Dongbang Pyeongtaek Welfare Town is a comprehensive welfare complex established by the Eastern Social Welfare Society in Sosa-dong, Pyeongtaek. It operates a special education school, childcare facilities for infants and young children, a residential facility for children with disabilities, and organizations that support employment for older adults, among other services.
 The Happy Sharing Bazaar is a community charity event first held in 2004. At this year’s event, which marked its 11th edition, a range of items donated by local businesses and organizations were sold. The proceeds will be used to improve the living conditions of welfare facility users and support welfare services.
 Shinil Electronics provided around 60 appliances across five categories for the event, including electric heating pads, heaters and humidifiers. Ahead of winter, it selected donated products needed for heating and maintaining indoor environments.
 This was not Shinil Electronics’ first donation of home appliances. In June, it donated appliances worth 22 million won to Beautiful Store. Including its sponsorship of this bazaar, the value of the two donations confirmed so far this year alone comes to 27 million won.
 Shinil Electronics uses the home appliances it produces and sells in its corporate social responsibility activities. It continues its charitable work by providing its flagship products and directing the proceeds from their sale toward welfare projects.
 A Shinil Electronics representative said, “We hope this support, provided ahead of winter, will help our neighbors in the community,” adding, “We will continue our charitable activities for neighbors in need.”
