[Financial News] A story has emerged about an actor who dresses as a ghost and disciplines children at the Korean Folk Village receiving an unexpected message from a child’s parent.
The actor recently shared a screenshot of the message from the child’s parent on their social media account.
The father, who said he had taken part in a ghost experience at the Korean Folk Village with his five-year-old son, began, “I’m leaving this message because I really wanted to express my gratitude.”
He recalled, “I don’t know if you remember the moment yesterday when you came toward me saying you were going to eat me, and my son burst into tears, stood in front of you, and shouted, ‘No! Dad, run away!’ I was really moved in that moment.”
He continued, “He was only five and must have been scared himself, but seeing him not run away and step forward to protect his dad left me so choked up that I can’t put it into words. I had always thought that I, as his dad, was the one protecting him, but instead I learned from my son what love is and what true courage is,” sharing how he had felt at the time.
He added, “My son may forget that day as time passes, but I don’t think I’ll ever forget it. As his father, I once again vowed, ‘No matter what hardships come, I won’t easily crumble, and I’ll be a dependable dad this child can lean on for the rest of his life.’”
Finally, the boy’s father concluded his post: “You may have simply been doing your best in the role you were given, but you gave my son and me a precious moment we’ll treasure for the rest of our lives. I went there to experience ghosts and came back having discovered the bravest boy in the world—my son. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving us such a special experience and moving us so deeply.”
The actor who shared the message said, “Knowing that a small performance I gave could leave someone with such a heart-swelling moment and a memory they’ll never forget for the rest of their life fills me with indescribable gratitude, along with a heavy sense of responsibility as an actor.”
The actor added, “I still have a lot to learn, but I’ll keep your precious kindness close to my heart and show you greater depth and growth going forward.”
People who saw the message responded, “That’s a great program,” “It must have been scary with you dressed as a ghost, but the little boy was so brave,” and “The child may have had a terrible nightmare about losing his dad... Please help him calm down after the scare.”
The Korean Folk Village runs a ghost character called Eoduksini, who admonishes children to listen to their parents or continues role-playing scenarios with them.
