[Financial News] Dunamu Inc., which operates the virtual asset exchange Upbit, will hold UpClass Campus for university students to introduce them to the virtual asset industry and related careers.
According to industry sources on the 19th, Dunamu Inc. will hold UpClass Campus next month at the Graduate School of Management of Technology at KAIST, the College of Economics and Business at Sookmyung Women’s University, and the College of Business Administration at Ewha Womans University. The event is the third installment of a program launched in September last year, and Dunamu employees will give the lectures themselves.
The events will begin at KAIST on the 2nd of next month, followed by Sookmyung Women’s University on the 3rd and Ewha Womans University on the 9th. At KAIST, speakers will include Kim Dong-min, Dunamu’s chief technology officer (CTO), and Upbit app developers. At Sookmyung Women’s University and Ewha Womans University, Yoon Seon-ju, Dunamu’s chief brand impact officer (CBIO), will lecture on virtual assets and the future of finance.
The lectures will consist of two sessions, including a special talk by an executive and an introduction to job roles by staff. Practitioners in various fields, including virtual asset management, tax and accounting, service planning, and data engineering, will take part at each university and share their job-search preparations and work experience.
There is no participation fee, and applications will be accepted in advance on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendees will receive souvenirs and snacks, and a prize drawing will also be held.
Dunamu CEO Kyungseok Oh said, “We will continue to expand opportunities for education and communication so that young people can properly understand changes in the virtual asset industry and prepare for the future.”
Meanwhile, Dunamu Inc. is focusing on expanding education for young people, including by signing an MOU with the Seoul Metropolitan Government last July to strengthen young people’s financial capabilities and expand virtual asset education. The two sides agreed to pursue educational programs on virtual asset basics, financial fraud prevention, investment, and asset management to improve young people’s financial literacy.
