Goodoc said on the 19th that it had launched a “vaccination booking service” providing information on major vaccinations, including flu, human papillomavirus (HPV) and shingles vaccines.
Users can find nearby hospitals offering vaccinations on a map and compare prices by medical institution. They can also check which dates and times each hospital offers vaccinations and book an appointment that fits their schedule. For flu and HPV vaccines, the service lists hospitals available to people eligible for free vaccination, helping users find a medical institution suited to their own and their family members’ eligibility. Goodoc plans to gradually expand the range of vaccines for which it provides information on free vaccinations.
Goodoc will also add a family health management feature. It plans to launch a feature in early November that will let users manage family members’ vaccination histories. The idea is to link it with its recently launched child growth tracking service so families can manage their health information in one place.
Starting with vaccinations, Goodoc will also expand its booking services to cover different types of medical care. Next month, it plans to extend the service to major areas of care not covered by health insurance, such as obesity and hair-loss treatments, allowing users to check treatment information and book appointments.
Goodoc CEO Jang Young-ju said, “There is a lot of information to check in advance for vaccinations, including which hospitals offer them, who is eligible for free vaccination and how much they cost, but it has been difficult to find it all in one place.” Jang added, “We will introduce services that customers can use easily and conveniently, from prevention through treatment.”
