[Financial News] Lotte Group said on the 18th that it had held the second 'Lotte Love Family Festival' on the 16th at Lotte World Adventure Seoul and Busan, inviting 17,000 people, including employees, family members and others.
Co-hosted by Lotte Group and the Lotte Group Labor Union Council, the event was intended to celebrate the year's achievements and convey a message of labor-management harmony.
First held last year after the entire Lotte World Adventure Seoul park was rented out, the 'Lotte Love Family Festival' expanded this year and was held simultaneously at Lotte World Adventure Busan as well.
Around 2,000 employees' family members who visited Lotte World Adventure Busan also lined up in front of the newly introduced 'Giant Revolution' attraction, which debuted on the 8th, to enjoy its thrilling rides. Participatory events, including a raffle and a message wall where visitors could post messages of hope, were also set up alongside theme park performances, adding to the excitement. A large screen was installed in Royal Garden Square so visitors could enjoy the Seoul event at the same time.
Around 17,000 people attended the event, held simultaneously in Busan and Seoul, including Lotte Group employees and their families, recipients of the group's social contribution program's 'Mom-Pyeonhan Family Award,' children from the 'Mom-Pyeonhan Dream Attic' program, and athletes from Lotte's sports team for athletes with disabilities.
This year, Lotte strengthened the event's content to help employees' families feel proud to be part of Lotte. Large coloring templates featuring Lotte's new growth drivers, including biotechnology and secondary-battery materials, were set up so participants could color them together and learn about the group's future businesses. Message banners reflecting the values and distinct character of each affiliate were also displayed throughout the venue.
An invitation event was also held for employees with multiple children and the families of athletes from Lotte's sports team for athletes with disabilities. At the event, Lotte presented the family of an employee who welcomed a third child this year with a miniature Carnival car key, a stroller, a snack gift set and other items.
An awards ceremony was held for Lotte Global Logistics, which won the '2026 Giants Cup Lotte Group Baseball Tournament' for the second consecutive year, along with a Lotte family singing contest. Lotte's popular signature characters, including Lotty, Lorry and Bellygom, posed for photos with participants throughout the venue. As part of a prize draw, athletes representing the golf team sponsored by Lotte and the Lotte Ski and Snowboard Team gave away merchandise bearing their handwritten signatures.
Kim Jeong-ho, a chief leader at Lotte Department Store's Busan Main Branch who attended the event, said, "At Lotte Group's first 'Family Day' in Busan, I had a wonderful time exploring the amusement park with my five-year-old son Jin-woo and made precious memories I'll never forget." He added, "This meaningful event with my family has made me even prouder of and more attached to the company."
A Lotte representative said, "Our employees and the families who have been a strong support to them are Lotte's greatest asset and driving force." The representative added, "We will continue to lead the way in fostering an advanced corporate culture where work and family life are in harmony."
