Strong winds are also expected. Waves of 5 meters or higher are expected in the outer offshore waters of the central West Sea and the offshore waters of the central East Sea.
The Korean Meteorological Administration forecast that gusts, thunder and lightning would accompany rain in affected areas, with considerable regional differences in rainfall amounts and intensity. It urged particular caution over flooding in low-lying areas where fallen leaves may impede drainage, sewer and drain backflow, and flooding in underpasses. It also stressed the need to prepare for possible damage to facilities and accidents involving falling objects due to strong winds, as well as disruptions to aircraft operations.
