[Financial News] POSCO E&C plans to launch sales in November of The Sharp First World Seoul officetel, which it is developing on the site of the former Sangbong Terminal in Sangbong-dong, Jungnang-gu, Seoul.
According to POSCO E&C on the 16th, The Sharp First World Seoul officetel will be built in the Sangbong-dong area of Jungnang-gu, Seoul, as part of the Sangbong 9 Redevelopment Promotion District project. The development will comprise one building with eight basement levels and up to 49 floors above ground, totaling 308 units. All units will have an exclusive floor area of 84 sq. m, a size popular with buyers. Together with the 999 apartments that sold out their general offering in just three months, the project will form a large-scale branded residential community of around 1,300 homes.
The complex’s biggest strength is its excellent regional transport network. Residents can conveniently access Subway Line 7, the Gyeongchun Line, the Gyeongui–Jungang Line and KTX services via nearby Sangbong and Mangu stations. In particular, the GTX-B Line is scheduled to open at Sangbong Station, which is expected to become the hub of a “penta-station area” served by five lines. The area is also well connected by road, including the Northern Ganseon Expressway and the Dongbu Expressway.
The area also stands out for its abundant everyday amenities and pleasant residential environment. Large shopping and cultural venues such as Costco, Homeplus and CGV, along with medical facilities, are located nearby, while green spaces in the city, including Jungnangcheon Stream, Bonghwasan Mountain and Mangusan Mountain, are also close by.

Retail, cultural and neighborhood facilities will also be developed within the complex, enabling a one-stop lifestyle. The developer, Shina Ju, plans to brand the commercial facilities as “Transit” and attract a distinctive mix of tenants, which is expected to further improve residents’ convenience.
The units also offer excellent features. Interiors will use either a four-bay slab-type layout or a dual-aspect open-plan design, with ample storage such as pantries and dressing rooms depending on the unit type. Some types will feature a view-oriented LDK layout, allowing views outside from the living room and kitchen to maximize the sense of openness. System air conditioning and built-in kimchi refrigerators will also be provided free of charge.
Officetels also benefit from regulatory differences. There is no owner-occupancy requirement or disposal condition, and even people who already own a home can obtain loans, making the barrier to applying relatively low. A model home will be set up in Jungnang-gu, Seoul, and is scheduled to open in November.
