[Financial News] SK hynix organized a family event to recognize partner companies and employees in Korea and abroad who work at semiconductor sites. It invited a total of around 30,000 people to an amusement park for semiconductor experience programs, performances and other activities.
SK hynix said on the 16th that it had held “ThanksFULL Day” at Seoul Land in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi Province, on the 15th. Those invited included partner-company employees; technical and full-time employees selected as internal “Unsung Heroes”; outstanding employees of overseas entities; and their families.
Key executives, including Cha Sun-yong, head of the Future Technology Research Institute; Lee Byeong-gi, head of mass production; and Jin Bo-geon, head of the Corporate Culture Division, welcomed attendees at the entrance to the venue. An infinity-loop sculpture engraved with the names of partner companies was installed at the entrance.
The venue was divided into three zones, with activity areas and rest areas. A program let children learn about the semiconductor manufacturing process through play, and families could enjoy rides together or take commemorative photos. The activities were designed both to recognize employees’ hard work and to help their children understand their parents’ jobs.
A partner-company employee who attended the event said, “I don’t often get the chance to talk with my child about what Dad does, so it was meaningful to spend time with my family today and talk about it naturally,” adding, “I think it’s become a wonderful memory that will stay with both my child and me for a long time.”
In the evening, a video expressing gratitude to partner-company employees was screened, followed by celebratory performances by singer Ailee and the band Jannabi, as well as fireworks. Families who attended received picnic sets, while children were given gift sets containing SK hynix souvenirs.
SK hynix President Noh-Jung Kwak, who attended the event, said, “I prepared this event hoping to give you a precious day, but it feels like I was the one who received an even greater gift,” adding, “This year’s achievements are the fruit of the sweat and hard work we have accumulated together with our partner companies.”
He added, “I am deeply grateful to our partner companies and employees in Korea and abroad, who quietly do their best in their respective roles, and to the families who are always by their side, giving them strength. I hope we will freely tell one another ‘thank you’ and ‘you’ve worked hard,’ and that today will remain a good memory for all of us for a long time.”
