[Financial News] IPARK Hyundai Development Company, an HDC Group affiliate, carried out volunteer work for local seniors in Seoul’s Jongno-gu to mark Senior Citizens’ Day.
On the 16th, IPARK Hyundai Development Company said it had taken part that day in the Senior Citizens’ Day event held near Jibonggol Park in Jongno-gu, Seoul, and donated funds to the Jongno General Social Welfare Center.
The event was attended by Jongno-gu Mayor Yoo Chan-jong, Jongno General Social Welfare Center Director Oh Seong-taek, and Jang Ji-won, head of IPARK Hyundai Development Company’s External Relations Team, among others.
IPARK Hyundai Development Company ran a booth at the event, engaging with local residents. It offered a range of hands-on activities, including food sharing, quizzes, spot-the-difference games, darts, and a ping-pong ball transfer game. The activities were designed to allow multiple generations to take part together, not just seniors.
An IPARK Hyundai Development Company representative said, “It was meaningful to learn about the significance of Senior Citizens’ Day on October 2, which had been unfamiliar to us, and to run a program that all generations could enjoy and connect through. We hope this event will serve as a foundation for reflecting on the efforts of seniors who have devoted themselves to the development of the local community and for building a culture in which all generations respect one another.”
IPARK Hyundai Development Company has continued its community-linked social contribution activities. In May, Family Month, it donated rice in Jongno-gu to support local seniors in their daily lives and carried out volunteer visits to provide companionship. The company plans to pursue further efforts to improve the educational environment for local children, including establishing a “Symphony Small Library” at Changsin Elementary School in Jongno-gu.
