[Financial News] Mario Outlet is expanding its intellectual property (IP)-based content, including figures and webtoons, alongside its fall/winter (F/W) season shopping events.
According to industry sources on the 16th, Mario Outlet will hold F/W fashion and outdoor discount events and offer IP content throughout its outlet under the theme 'Play at Mario, where new fun unfolds' (PLAY AT MARIO).
Discount events centered on women’s fashion, casual wear, and sports and outdoor brands will be held in Buildings 1 and 3. Participating brands include Ecole de Paris, Roem, VAN AKE, National Geographic, WHO.A.U., and Jeep. Outdoor goods events featuring The North Face, Black Yak, NEPA, and Millet will also take place at Marpe Plaza.
IP content will be expanded mainly in the new wing of Building 1. For three months starting today, the fifth floor of the new wing of Building 1 will host pop-up stores for three figure brands—Good Smile, Prime 1 Studio, and Godbrave Studio—at 'MGM IP UNIVERSE.' Godbrave Studio will hold an offline pop-up for the first time as part of this event.
The Seoul Toy Festival will take place on the sixth floor of the new wing of Building 1 from the 19th to the 25th. Artists who create art toys, characters, and figures will exhibit and sell their works and interact directly with visitors.
An experiential exhibition based on webtoon IP is also planned. Advance reservations for Naver Webtoon’s 'The Remarried Empress: An Invitation to the Imperial Palace' exhibition will open on the 17th, and the exhibition will open on the 30th on the seventh floor of Building 1’s main building. It is designed to let visitors experience spaces from the webtoon through extended reality (XR) content, costumes from the work, photo zones, and more.
A Mario Outlet representative said, "As we welcome the full onset of fall, we planned the 'PLAY AT MARIO' theme to bring customers new enjoyment, alongside shopping benefits, from exhibitions of famous figures to experiences based on popular webtoon IP."
