[Financial News] KT has launched a service for small businesses that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to automatically select in-store music and support customer management.
KT said on the 16th that it had partnered with Aplayz, an AI-powered spatial music platform company, to launch RaedioBiz as a mobile add-on service.
RaedioBiz is a service that plays music suited to the environment of businesses such as cafes, restaurants, hair salons and hospitals, and also offers public-address announcements and customer management features. It can be operated through an app or website without separate equipment or specialized staff.
One of its key features is that AI analyzes factors such as business type, operating hours, season and weather to recommend suitable music. The music selection can be changed automatically depending on the time of day, such as morning, lunchtime or evening, and announcements about operating hours, events or discounts can also be scheduled in advance.
The service also includes store promotion and customer management features. When a business owner registers store information, the store is featured to users of the Raedio music app. Customers can leave messages in a guestbook by scanning a QR sticker provided upon signup and displayed at the store, making it useful for engaging with regular customers as well.
The service costs 9,900 won per month, including value-added tax. Customers can sign up through KT.com or the My KT app, then register an account using a link sent by text message. The service can be used without a separate music licensing agreement, and the fee is added to the customer’s mobile phone bill. New subscribers are also eligible for up to three months of free use.
Son Jeong-yeop, an executive director and head of the Device Business Division in KT’s Customer Division, said, “We will continue to strengthen services that can help small business owners with the actual operation of their businesses, including operations, marketing and customer management.”
