[Financial News] Sampyo Group is strengthening executives’ responsibility for safety management and working to establish a field-oriented safety culture to prevent serious accidents. Rather than limiting its efforts to basic safety training or inspections, the group aims to boost its safety management capabilities by extending safety management practices proven effective in the field to all its affiliates.
According to industry sources on the 16th, Sampyo Group held its “2026 Q3–Q4 Executive Safety Session” on the 8th at the Seoul Babien 2 Education Center, with around 80 attendees, including the CEOs of all its affiliates, chief safety officers (CSOs) and other key executives.
The event focused on having executives directly review each affiliate’s safety management activities and areas for improvement, and share safety management measures that had been validated in the field. In particular, they reviewed the results of safety culture initiatives involving frontline workers and discussed practical measures that could also be applied at other affiliates.
Specialized training to prevent serious accidents was also held. An external safety and health consulting organization explained the principles of behavior management that encourage safe behavior among employees, as well as ways to apply them at actual worksites, under the theme “Building a Culture to Prevent Serious Accidents (SIF).”
Sampyo Group plans to incorporate the training and discussion into on-site management at each affiliate and continuously review the results of their implementation. It also plans to strengthen safety leadership in the field and expand safety management practices proven effective across the group.
A Sampyo Group representative said, “For safety to become part of the organizational culture, everyone must make it a priority in their daily lives and put it into practice,” adding, “Through field-oriented management and communication, we will foster a culture in which safety rules are followed naturally.”
