[Financial News] Parata Air said on the 16th that it had established a branch in Los Angeles (LA), United States, and appointed Brian Kim as its inaugural branch manager. Ahead of launching its LA route, the airline is moving quickly to build its local operations and sales capabilities.
Parata Air is gradually building its local operations and sales systems, aiming to launch its LA route next May. With the establishment of the branch, it plans to develop airport operations and ground-handling capabilities, local sales and marketing, and cooperative networks with relevant organizations and the travel industry.
Appointed as the inaugural branch manager, Brian Kim is an expert in the Americas market with at least 20 years of experience in the airline industry. He has worked at Asiana Airlines and Air Premia, among others, and has served as Air Premia’s first LA branch manager since 2022.
During his time at Air Premia, he established the local operations and ground-handling systems needed for the airline’s new LA service and built cooperative relationships with airport authorities and relevant organizations. He subsequently oversaw all aspects of the local business, including sales and marketing, business development, and organizational and financial management.
Parata Air plans to draw on Branch Manager Kim’s experience launching new routes and his local network to establish a stable operational foundation. It also aims to proactively secure a sales foothold in the Americas market by expanding cooperation with local travel-industry players and business partners.
“Drawing on the experience and network I have built over the years in the aviation market across the Americas, I will establish a strong local foundation so Parata Air can enter the U.S. market smoothly,” Kim said.
A Parata Air spokesperson said, “The establishment of the LA branch and the appointment of a branch manager mean preparations for launching service to LA are taking concrete shape, moving into the stage of building a local organization and business foundation,” adding, “We will make safe and stable operations our top priority and proceed with the necessary preparations without a hitch.”
