[Financial News] Lotte Premium Outlet Giheung is opening the largest Polo Ralph Lauren outlet store in the Seoul metropolitan area and setting out to attract family shoppers.
According to industry sources on the 16th, Lotte Premium Outlet Giheung will open a roughly 1,000-square-meter Polo Ralph Lauren outlet store on the second basement level that day. It is the first new outlet store to open in South Korea in five years. The store brings together the brand’s key product categories, from fashion to kids and home.
The store is characterized by expanded kids and home offerings, in consideration of the characteristics of Giheung’s trade area. The Children section, which features kids’ clothing, and the Home section, which sells household goods, are 10% larger than at other stores. In fact, kids’ sales at Giheung rose by more than 20% from January to September this year compared with the same period a year earlier.
The selection of Home Collection products has also been expanded. The plan is to meet the shopping needs of families visiting the store by offering a variety of home products infused with Polo Ralph Lauren’s distinctive brand sensibility.
A variety of products featuring the brand’s iconic Pony logo are also available. The store is showcasing fashion items for the fall/winter (F/W) season, from transitional-season clothing such as cardigans and knitwear to winter outerwear, including lightweight padded jackets.
Jung Yun-yong, head of Lotte Department Store’s Outlet and Mall Fashion Team, said, “The recent craze for classic brands, led by Polo Ralph Lauren, has become a global trend, so we expect customers to have high expectations for this opening.” He added, “We have prepared a diverse collection befitting the largest outlet store in the Seoul metropolitan area, making it a distinctive shopping destination the whole family can enjoy together.”
