[Financial News] To mark its 40th anniversary, Paris Croissant is supporting children from vulnerable groups who face food insecurity through voluntary employee donations. It is also continuing social contribution activities with World Vision to support children from low-income families.
According to industry sources on the 16th, ahead of its anniversary, Paris Croissant held “Give and Take,” an employee social contribution campaign to support children facing food insecurity.
Give and Take is a Paris Croissant social contribution program that supports children from vulnerable groups through voluntary employee participation. Employees donate a set amount, and the funds raised are used to provide food for children.
About 760 employees, including Paris Croissant CEO Kang Shin-bong, took part in the event, raising a total of 9.28 million won in donations. The company encouraged participation by giving employees a “Hello K-Paba Jeju Buckwheat Castella” for every 10,000 won they donated.
The donations raised were used to prepare 850 “Happy Boxes,” snack packs containing Paris Baguette products and other items. The Happy Boxes are to be delivered to children in need through World Vision, an international relief and development NGO.
Paris Croissant has worked with World Vision since 2017 on various social contribution activities for children from low-income families. Each year on its anniversary, it has supported them with food such as bread and snacks, reaffirming the value of sharing. In May, it also donated 8.43 million won raised by 718 employees through Give and Take to support children from low-income families.
A Paris Croissant representative said, “As we mark our 40th anniversary this year, it is even more meaningful that our employees can celebrate by sharing with others,” adding, “We will continue our sharing activities with the participation of all our members and spread a positive influence in the local community.”
