[Financial News] The exterior design and color scheme of the 5,007-unit 'Banpo Jugong Apartment Complex 1' in Seocho-gu, Seoul, will change. The rooftop structure design and other features will also be improved, taking traffic convenience and the surrounding landscape into account.
Seoul Metropolitan Government said on the 16th that its 21st Integrated Deliberation Committee for Urban Improvement Projects had approved a plan to revise the architectural design and other aspects of the 'Banpo Jugong Apartment Complex 1 (Zones 1, 2 and 4) Reconstruction Project,' located around 810 Banpo-dong, Seocho-gu, at a meeting held on the 15th.
As a result, the apartment facades' design and colors, entrance canopies, rooftop structures, and entrances to publicly accessible facilities will be improved. Small parks, buffer green spaces and Banpo Stream are located around the complex, and a public pedestrian passage is planned within it. In its integrated review, the city called for improved usability of the park to be created as part of the project. The Banpo Jugong Apartment Complex 1 reconstruction project is scheduled to offer about 1,800 units for general sale this November and be completed in November next year.
At a meeting held that day, the city also voted to approve, subject to conditions, the integrated review plan for the 'Daechi Ssangyong 1st Apartment Reconstruction Project.'
Under the resolution, the Daechi Ssangyong 1st Apartment, built in 1983 in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, will be redeveloped into a complex of up to 49 stories with 999 units. It is located at 66 Daechi-dong, Gangnam-gu.
The city plans to create a small park and open-style rest areas within the complex, as well as green space connected to Yangjaecheon Stream. The layout and height of the apartment buildings have also been planned to harmonize with the surrounding natural environment.
The Jegi District 6 Redevelopment Project in Dongdaemun-gu will create a 445-unit residential complex, 22 units more than previously planned. The city also raised the complex's floor area ratio from 244.15% to 249.97%.
Jegi District 6 is an aging, low-rise residential area around 120-104 Jegi-dong, Dongdaemun-gu, designated as a redevelopment zone in 2009. The site is near Korea University Station on Subway Line 6, the Dongbuk Line, which is scheduled to open, and Cheongnyangni Station, served by Line 1, the Suin–Bundang Line, the Gyeongui–Jungang Line and KTX.
At a review committee meeting the same day, the city approved a plan to redevelop Jamsil Woosung 4th Apartment in Songpa-gu as a complex of seven buildings, up to 49 stories tall, with 828 units. The site is adjacent to Tancheon and a park around a detention basin, and is close to Samjeon Station on Subway Line 9. The city plans to build a senior welfare facility within the complex where older residents can pursue hobbies and cultural and leisure activities. Myung No-jun, head of Seoul Metropolitan Government's Housing Bureau, said, "We will actively support the smooth progress of urban improvement projects through focused schedule management to expedite reconstruction projects."
