[Financial News] Recurring ankle sprains, stabbing pain in the soles of the feet every morning, and big toes that are becoming increasingly crooked. Even a minor pain from a foot or ankle condition can change how a person walks and affect daily life. On the 15th, orthopedic surgeon Moon Jeong-seok, who has treated such patients in Bucheon for 16 years, opened Moon Jeong-seok Orthopedic Clinic in Jung-dong, Bucheon.

Moon Jeong-seok Orthopedic Clinic specializes in foot and ankle conditions, drawing on more than 16,000 surgeries performed over more than 20 years. It focuses on treating hallux valgus, plantar fasciitis, ankle ligament injuries and instability, Achilles tendon disorders, ankle arthritis, ankle cartilage injuries, fractures, and sports injuries.

Director Moon emphasizes that “even the same ankle pain can have various causes, including ligament injuries, cartilage lesions, and arthritis, so an accurate diagnosis is important.” Persistent foot deformities or reduced ankle function can affect gait and place strain on the knees, hip joints, and back, so the clinic also treats knee and shoulder joint conditions, neck and back pain, and general injuries.
The clinic’s guiding principle is, “We listen fully to each patient and explain things accurately.” Rather than relying solely on imaging results, it takes a comprehensive look at when the pain began and how it feels, the patient’s gait, occupation, and lifestyle habits. It first considers nonsurgical treatments such as medication, physical therapy, injections, and extracorporeal shockwave therapy. If surgery is needed, the decision is made only after the progression of the condition and the expected benefits have been fully explained.
Director Moon graduated from Korea University College of Medicine and earned a doctorate in medicine from the same university’s graduate school. He served as an associate professor of orthopedic surgery at Inje University Seoul Paik Hospital and is currently a visiting professor of orthopedic surgery at Samsung Medical Center. He has focused on treating foot and ankle conditions while serving as director of the Foot and Ankle Center at Yeson Hospital, a joint-specialty hospital designated by the Ministry of Health and Welfare. He has served as a council member of the Korean Foot and Ankle Society, was selected as a traveling fellow for the Korea-Japan Foot Society in 2006, and that same year completed AO fellowship training at Liestal Cantonal Hospital in Switzerland.
Director Moon said, “I’ve been able to build relationships with patients in Bucheon for 16 years thanks to their trust,” adding, “I will be a dependable physician who listens carefully to each patient’s story and explains their condition and treatment process in an easy-to-understand way.”
