With Seo Byeong-ryun, chairman of the Gwanak Economic Association, and around 80 members in attendance, the event discussed the business directions and investment strategies of three AI-related startups associated with Seoul National University alumni, as well as trends in emerging high-tech industries and ways to connect investment projects.
Chairman Park Jun-hee, a founding member of the Gwanak Economic Forum, attends the Gwanak Economic Association every month and pools expertise and insight with fellow members, including executives in the economic sector, media professionals, finance professionals, and senior government officials at government and economic-sector institutions.
The forum introduced FASSTO Robotics Co., which received Korea's first Physical AI certification from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport; Asteromorph, founded last year, which devised reasoning-layer technology that applies general-purpose AI to real-world scientific research and is developing AI systems tailored to experimental science; and Lomin, a startup whose document AI platform provides all the AI technologies needed for document processing and automation. Lomin's core solution, Textscope® Studio, supports document parsing and understanding as well as the training of document AI models. The startup representatives outlined their business directions and investment strategies, and views on investment plans were also shared.
