[Financial News] An event where creators of art toys, characters, and figures meet visitors in person to introduce their work and connect with them will be held in Seoul.
According to industry sources on the 15th, the Seoul Toy Festival (SEOUL TOY FESTIVAL) will be held for one week, from the 19th to the 25th, on the sixth floor of the new building in Building 1 of Mario Outlet in Geumcheon-gu, Seoul. It is hosted and organized by KAIPRO STUDIO, with MGM IP as a sponsor, and will feature 30 booths in total.
The event is designed to give creators the chance to exhibit and sell their work themselves and talk with visitors about their work and characters. Rather than focusing on large-scale exhibition facilities or booth arrangements, it centers on bringing creators and visitors together to connect through the work at close range.
Participating artists and brands will showcase art toys, characters, figures, and more at table-style booths. The event will give creators the opportunity to promote their work and see visitors’ reactions on site, while giving visitors the chance to hear directly from the creators who made the work about its background and the characters.
KAIPRO STUDIO plans to hold the event regularly and develop it into a place where creators and visitors can continue to interact.
Cheon Chang-uk, chief operating officer (COO) of KAIPRO STUDIO, said, “The goal was not to create a massive fair from the outset.” He added, “We wanted to create an event where artists and visitors could look at the work and talk directly across a single table, and artists could see visitors’ reactions to their work on site.”
