[Financial News] APR has begun supplying skin boosters, a new business it has been pursuing. It plans to diversify its business structure, which has focused on cosmetics and home beauty devices, with skin boosters and energy-based medical devices (EBDs).
According to APR on the 15th, it recently began supplying Medicube skin boosters to Chile. On the 20th, it will hold a launch event in Santiago, Chile, with around 300 attendees, including local clinic representatives, medical professionals and influencers. APR plans to officially launch the skin boosters in Chile next month.
APR has been pursuing skin boosters and energy-based medical devices (EBDs) as new businesses. Its vision is to become an integrated beauty company spanning cosmetics, beauty devices and medical devices.
APR Factory's Third Campus, located in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province, has been producing polynucleotide (PN) material since July. PN is a regenerative ingredient extracted from salmon. The company has also met the regulatory approval requirements. The skin-applied wound dressing 'AGE-R' and the subcutaneous injection 'AGE-R Plus G', each received certification related to a Class II medical device and approval for a Class IV medical device for export, respectively, from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.
APR plans to expand its overseas supply of skin boosters. Starting with Chile, it will increase the number of Latin American countries it serves, including major neighboring markets, and expand its distribution network to Japan and the Middle East. It is also pursuing the regulatory approvals required for a domestic launch.
APR is also expanding its device business into medical devices. Building on its home beauty device technology and in-house production capabilities, it is preparing to manufacture high-output medical devices for hospitals. APR has said it plans to launch EBD as early as the end of this year.
An APR representative said, "Chile, with its high income levels, will serve as a foothold for entering Latin America's premium market," adding, "We will strengthen our production capabilities and gradually expand our business in global markets."
